Out The Blú Beauty Bar operates as an appointment-only curated studio. All services must be reserved in advance.
Preferred Booking Method (Fastest & Most Accurate)
We strongly recommend booking online through our official booking system.
To reserve your appointment:
Click “Book Now.”
Select your desired service from the drop-down menu.
Submit the required deposit or full prepayment (if applicable).
Your appointment is confirmed only after payment is received.
Online booking allows you to:
• View real-time availability
• Receive automatic confirmations and reminders
• Manage rescheduling yourself
• Join the waitlist if your preferred time is unavailable
Phone Reservations (Limited Availability)
We may accept appointments by phone only when administrative support is available.
Phone reservations require:
• A valid credit or debit card on file
• Full card details provided at time of booking
• Government-issued ID presented at the appointment
• Cardholder must be present
• ID must match the card used
For manually entered card transactions or higher-value services, we reserve the right to verify identity and retain payment authorization documentation for fraud protection.
If phone support is unavailable, guests will be directed to book online.
WAITLIST POLICY
If your preferred time is not available, you may join the waitlist through our booking system.
Please understand:
• Joining the waitlist does NOT guarantee an appointment.
• You will be notified if a cancellation opens.
• If no cancellation occurs, you may not receive further contact.
• We may also notify waitlisted guests when future availability opens.
The waitlist is simply a courtesy notification system — not a confirmed reservation.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Out The Blú Beauty Bar is not a walk-in studio.
We do not accept same-day in-person requests without prior booking.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations that:
• Are booked incorrectly
• Appear fraudulent
• Do not meet service eligibility requirements
• Violate our salon policies

What Happens During a Consultation?
Your stylist will:
• Analyze your current hair condition
• Assess density, porosity, damage level, and previous chemical history
• Review your lifestyle, maintenance habits, and at-home routine
• Discuss realistic outcomes (especially for color, extensions, relaxers, and loc services)
• Determine if corrective work is required
• Provide a personalized service plan
You will leave with clarity — not guesswork.
When Is a Consultation Required?
Consultations are required for:
• All new clients
• Color or chemical services
• Extensions or wig installs
• Loc starts or major transformations
• Corrective services
• Clients new to our 3/5/7 Course structure
Returning maintenance clients may not require a new consultation unless their hair condition has changed significantly.
Why We Require It
Not every style seen online is achievable on every hair type.
Not every service is safe for every scalp.
Not every client is aligned with our structured booking system.
Consultations help:
• Protect the integrity of your hair
• Protect the safety of your scalp
• Protect the time reserved in our appointment-only schedule
• Ensure service eligibility (especially for internal referral or companion add-on bookings)
It also allows us to determine whether we are the right professional fit. We believe in mutual alignment — not forced services.
Important Note
Booking a service without a required consultation may result in:
• Rescheduling
• Service modification
• Forfeited deposits
Consultations create confidence — not confusion.
We do not rush transformation.

CONSULTATION DETAILS
We offer one structured consultation option:
In-Person Strategy Consultation – $75
• Required for extensions, chemical services, color transformations, and major changes
• Required for all new clients booking advanced services
• Highly recommended if you are unsure what to book

DOES THE CONSULTATION FEE GO TOWARD MY SERVICE?
Yes — with conditions.
• If you book your service within 24 hours of your consultation, the $75 will be applied toward that service.
• If you do not book within 24 hours, the consultation fee is retained as payment for time and expertise.
• Consultation fees are non-refundable and do not transfer to future appointments beyond the 24-hour window.
The consultation is a professional service — not a placeholder.

WHEN A CONSULTATION MAY NOT BE REQUIRED
Returning clients booking routine maintenance services typically do not need a new consultation unless:
• Hair condition has changed significantly
• You are switching service categories
• You are requesting corrective work

LOCATION & SERVICE EXPERIENCE
As we prepare for our new permanent location, Out The Blú Beauty Bar currently operates as an appointment-only, hosted salon experience within the North Kansas City / Gladstone area.
We are not a walk-in storefront at this time.
All appointments must be booked and secured online in advance. Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive the full service location details along with your confirmation.
To maintain privacy, professionalism, and a seamless guest experience, location details are only provided after:
• Your appointment is properly booked through our system
• All required forms and agreements are completed
• Your retainer or payment has been received
CURRENT SERVICE MODEL
We are currently operating through a pop-up and hosted salon partnership as we transition into our next permanent home.
Service locations may vary based on scheduling and availability. All guests will receive accurate and updated location details prior to their appointment.

APPOINTMENT POLICY
Out The Blú Beauty Bar operates strictly by appointment only.
We do not accept walk-ins, in-person requests, or same-day arrivals without a confirmed and secured reservation. Our service location is private and disclosed only after booking is completed.
SAME-DAY & LAST-MINUTE APPOINTMENTS
If you are seeking a same-day appointment:
• You must book online if availability is shown
• Or join the waitlist/standby list through our system
We no longer accept phone calls or manual requests for scheduling.
Standby and waitlist requests do not guarantee an appointment. If availability opens, guests will be notified through the system.
PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Appointments booked within 48 hours require full prepayment
• Appointments are not confirmed until payment and required forms are completed
RECURRING CLIENTS
For recurring clients, missed appointments or late cancellations may result in:
• Removal from recurring status
• Requirement of full prepayment for future bookings
IMPORTANT
We strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time, as availability is limited and reserved specifically for confirmed guests.
Appointments are scheduled exclusively through our online booking system.
To book:

• Complete all required client forms and salon agreements
• Submit your retainer or full payment
Your appointment is not confirmed until all steps are completed.
Once confirmed, you will receive your appointment details, including the service location.
If your preferred time is unavailable, you may join the waitlist through the booking system and will be notified if a spot opens.
Each guest must have their own individual client profile.
To schedule multiple appointments:
Log into your account.
Book each service under the name of the person receiving the service.
Complete payment requirements for each reservation.
Confirm all appointment times before checkout.
We do not allow multiple guests booked under one name. Every person receiving a service must have:
• Their own profile
• Their own signed agreement to salon policies
• A valid payment method on file
This protects scheduling accuracy, liability, and communication.
Booking Parent + Child / Companion Services
If you are booking for a family member or companion:
• Both services must be booked separately
• Appointments must be scheduled back-to-back or within the same reserved time block
• Companion services are only available for existing clients or approved internal referrals
Companion services are not open to the general public and must follow recurring booking requirements when applicable.
Recurring Appointments
If you are part of our recurring schedule:
• All appointments are automatically generated
• A valid card must remain on file
• Missed appointments may result in automatic charges
• Repeated missed payments will remove recurring privileges
Recurring clients must maintain compliance to keep their reserved time block.
If you’re unsure how to book multiple appointments correctly, please contact us before scheduling to avoid cancellations or forfeited deposits.
CHEMICAL & COLOR SERVICES
Color and chemical services are considered core services, not full styling experiences.
A basic finish (blow-dry or mold) may be included depending on the service selected. However, the following are not included unless upgraded or added:
• Silk press styling
• Precision cutting or shaping
• Advanced curl or finish work
• Extension blending
• Detailed or customized styling
For clients seeking a complete, polished result, these elements require a higher-tier experience or separate styling selection.
RECOMMENDATION
For best results, we recommend booking your chemical service within one of our:
3, 5, or 7-Course BlúCareRX™ Experiences
This ensures your service includes the proper:
• Treatment
• Scalp and hair care
• Structured finishing
CONSULTATIONS
A consultation is required for all:
• Chemical services
• Extension services
This allows us to properly assess your hair, set expectations, and plan your service accordingly.
Pricing is based on the experience level and what your hair requires, not just a single service.

• 3-Course Experience – $185
• 5-Course Experience – $285
• 7-Course Experience – $385

Current pricing is always available on our online booking site.
If you’d like a more accurate estimate, we’d need to assess your hair through a consultation — either virtual or in-person.
That ensures there are no surprises at checkout.
We do not provide quotes via social media DM without a consultation.

At this time we are closed on Sunday and Mondays, and do not offer client appointments on Wednesday or Friday at this time.

For the most seamless blend and long-term wear, we recommend using salon-provided hair.
We prefer to not work over unknown foreign extension installs.
